I have decided to make all audio books now and share opinions as tag [HB] is thus immediately clear what's at stake.
She is so - my first real opinion about an audio book.
First, I have chosen to Audible "dead ground" by Tess Gerritsen, although I somehow had the agony of choice.
is
Read it by Mechthild Grossmann and name me say on audio books still relatively little is, so far I only 3 men to do something: Rainer Strecker reads ("Skulduggery" great, Simon Hunter reads (Fitzek books) and Rufus Beck (reading Harry Potter genius and "Lemony Snicket" great). For women, I connect, if at all, the voice with the books and do not know the name.
"dead ground" so it should be, because Gerritsen I like and read with enthusiasm each of the Rizzoli / Isles books and I would think in the foreseeable future not as a book in his hands it was so worth the attempt as an audiobook
.. How do I stop so am I, of course, wisely AFTER the Download discovered that there is also an unabridged version of it - well, anyway, I wanted to try it anyway.
My audiobook lasted so in the abridged version 7 hours and 37 minutes, which should be seen in time zuuu not very different from the time I had with the printed book can spend - in stark contrast to the uncut version, the 12 hours 24 minutes takes - as long as I would have needed to slow reading for the book ever. (I'd probably be even faster than the shortened version was)
We are also the reason why for me the immense importance of HBs spokesman are usually a HB lasts much longer than when I was reading a book itself and there must be the speaker at a very compelling read that I would like to offer this extra time.
contents of the book:
In a village in the snowy mountains of Wyoming is a terrible thing happened. The windows of the houses are open, the food is still on the tables, but not a soul to be seen. On this forsaken place have Maura Isles and her friends sought refuge during a snowstorm. And have since disappeared without trace. Only a single footprint shows, they were not alone in this lonely valley ... When Jane Rizzoli days later learns that her friend not a pathologist conference has come back in Wyoming and a wrecked car was found four dead - including a woman burned corpse in Maura's age - is it just one more question: Is Maura yet?
Am I at first but still annoyed that I runterlud not the uncut version so the anger quickly changed to relief and I wondered whether it might not even exist a shortened version of the shortened ... there was not.
It took about 1.5 hours on hours to ever showed up the first body, and then it was "only" a dog's body ... the previous time was spent describing with whom Maura travels to the mountains and the mountains are snowed ... lengthy, very lengthy - and boring.
In the book I would just as certainly, and possibly read across to scroll quickly.
It did so at all hours to Jane Rizzoli was first noted by Gerritsen I am actually more entrances rasa usual.
About half of the audio book started the story off the ground and then one could imagine that here a Thriller heard.
For me personally, then came the main theme of the book abprupt, but this may have also leaned on the reductions of the HB and since the introduction in the printed book might be better.
missed the end to give them a few scenes of mourning for the people in the hut and the information what exactly happened with the pathologist, even that will probably be cut victim I suppose.
Too bad the story really only mid-started, if that was also in the book I would have probably not read by then and so I would be a good book but still escaped with interesting twists.
However, I had the unabridged audiobook version as not well-kept, plus I wanted too much iin the shortened Version still cuts her.
However, this was in no small part undoubtedly give to the Speaker ... uff ... can have, but you have not ...
That was really tiring, Mrs. Grossman made it to my feel this way not to build them read by their tension, on the contrary it seemed to me as if she read me a bedtime story and I had to exert myself in order in my head the tension of the story definitely existed at all maintained.
The voices they were different people for me were not always clearly identifiable and distinguishable. Sometimes the voices were out of place simply disastrous ... when the voice of a Teenagers can sound like the egg con whining, whining toddler then does not fit. Once the adults should tend to cry they heard on croaking and tearful, more like how witches in fairy tales in question, or sometimes like real babies - that was annoying and sounded terribly wrong.
story very well and even exciting, realization as HB mainly by the speaker more like well ...
I'll probably just make sure in the future on audio books that are read by Mrs. Grossman to take only the abridged version, which usually bores me too much.
